U.S. Women’s National Team to train at Kansas City Current Training Facility ahead of friendly against Nigeria in Kansas City

Head coach Vlatko Andonovski, Kansas City Current defender Hailie Mace and the rest of the U.S. Women’s National Team will train at the Kansas City Current Training Facility Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 as the team prepares for the first of two friendlies against Nigeria on Sept. 3 at Children’s Mercy Park.

“We are honored to host the USWNT at our facility while they are in Kansas City,” said Current team president Allison Howard. “We built this facility for world-class athletes, and we are excited to be the training home of the best national team in the world while they are here.”

Andonovski and select USWNT players will be available to speak with media ahead of the Sept. 3 match against Nigeria. Members of the media interested in joining the videoconference sessions are required to register in advance at the links below.
