POSTPONED: KC Current to Host Season Kickoff Party at Power & Light District on Wednesday, March 23

UPDATE (March 21, 2022): Due to forecasts of inclement weather, KC Current has postponed the Season KIckoff Party originally schedule for March 23 at KC Live! Block at Power & Light. KC Current will announce a new date for the event soon!

The 2022 NWSL Season is almost here.

To celebrate, we’re hosting the Season Kickoff Event at KC Live! Block at the Kansas City Power & Light District, open to everyone in Soccer Capital USA!

On Wednesday, March 23 from 5:30 – 8:30 PM, KC Current is taking over P&L with a Pep Rally, KC Current & Sporting KC Player appearances, a Live DJ and a drumline. Oh, and a FREE DRINK for the first 500 fans in attendance. 

KC Current fan favorites midfielder Lo’eau LaBonta and goalkeeper Adrianna Franch will be on hand for autographs. In addition, the Teal Mobile will be on-site with the freshest KC Current merchandise.

The 2022 NWSL season gets underway when the KC Current kick off its 2022 Challenge Cup campaign at 6:30 p.m. CT on Friday, March 18 vs. Racing Louisville at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville. KC Current take the field at Children’s Mercy Park for the first time in 2022 on Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m. CT vs. Racing Louisville. Tickets to that match are on sale now, available here.
