KANSAS CITY — Kansas City Current defender Stine Ballisager Pedersen will be joining Denmark for a pair of crucial qualifier matches for the 2025 UEFA Women’s Championship. Ballisager was named to Denmark coach Andreé Jergletz’s 23-player side, which was revealed July 3.
Denmark faces Belgium July 12, then closes qualifying with a home tilt against Czechia July 16. Ballisager has appeared in all four qualifying matches for Denmark and will aim to lead the Danes to an automatic berth in the 2025 UEFA Women’s Championship. Denmark enters the final round of qualifying matches in second place in qualifying group A2, six points behind already-qualified Spain. The top two teams in each of the four qualifying groups secure an automatic berth in next summer’s 16-team event.
Ballisager, who has represented Denmark since she was 15 years old, has 58 caps and 53 starts with the senior national team.
