Kansas City Current announces Room 39 as next restaurant partner in CPKC Stadium

The Kansas City Current announced today for Teal Tuesday that the next restaurant partner in CPKC Stadium will be Room 39. Beloved by Kansas Citians for exceptional farm-to-table favorites, gameday fare from Room 39 will provide fans with a memorable food journey that mirrors the spirit and celebration on the soccer field.

Fans are invited to attend a tasting and Teal Tuesday Takeover today from 12-1 pm at Room 39, located at 1719 West 39^th Street, KCMO 64111. The first 50 fans will receive a KC Current tote bag!

“Ted Habiger of Room 39 has been cooking his award-winning cuisine in Kansas City for decades,” said CPKC Stadium chef partners Megan and Colby Garrelts. “CPKC Stadium is honored to feature some first tastes in KC from Room 39 which have been inspired by his travel across the globe. We can’t wait!"

Chef Ted Habiger is a three-time semifinalist for the James Beard Outstanding Chef Award. He previously created culinary delights as chef of Cafe Allegro, consistently named the number one restaurant in Kansas City by the Zagat survey, and prodded taste buds as sous chef at Danny Meyer’s highly respected Union Square Cafe in NYC. He has also been named Chef of the Year by The Pitch Weekly.

Located in the northwest corner of the stadium, fans will have access to a menu that merges the restaurant’s deep Kansas and Missouri roots with a wish to uplift local farmers and producers.

Teal Tuesdays have celebrated new partnerships with Joe’s Kansas City, Billie’s Grocery, Yoli Tortilleria, Local Pig, Waldo Thai, Martin City Brewing Company and now Room 39 coming to CPKC Stadium. The club will have more announcements regarding the bespoke culinary experience at the stadium in the coming weeks on Teal Tuesdays.  Fans are encouraged to celebrate all things KC Current with the team – and to wear teal – as the story of CPKC Stadium continues to come to life.
