She was a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist and First-Team All-America that season while leading the Bruins with 15 goals and 33 points.

By 2018, Mace was turning heads at the international level. She missed half of her college season while training and playing with the senior U.S. Women’s National Team. She was first named to the roster for the 2018 SheBelieves Cup, then made her international debut in a friendly against Mexico a month later on April 8, 2018. That September, Mace was also rostered for the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Championship. She played the full 90 minutes against Panama and helped the U.S. qualify for the 2019 FIFA World Cup.

Mace was the second overall pick in the 2019 NWSL Draft, selected by Sky Blue FC, and elected to play in Australia and Sweden for her first season. She returned to NWSL prior to the 2020 Challenge Cup when her rights were traded from Sky Blue to North Carolina in exchange for McCall Zerboni.

The versatile midfielder played in every game for North Carolina in both the 2020 and 2021 Challenge Cups. In the 2021 NWSL regular season, Mace has scored two goals in 10 appearances for the Courage.
