With a dominant 3-0 win over Washington Spirit on Sunday, KC Current secured playoff position for the first time in club history. Now, KC Current sit #3 in the table, eager to lock up a first round bye or home playoff match in the last weekend of the NWSL regular season.
With a #1 or #2 finish, KC Current would host a home playoff match at Children’s Mercy Park on the weekend of Oct. 22-23.
With a #3 or #4 finish, KC Current would host a home playoff match at Children’s Mercy Park on the weekend of Oct. 15-16. With a quarterfinal win, the Current would then have to travel to face the #1 or #2 seed on the weekend of Oct. 22-23.
KC Current cannot finish lower than #5. With a #5 finish, KC Current would have to travel to face the #4 seed on the weekend of Oct. 15-16.
