Adopt Boba, our Mascot of the Match!

This season, KC Current is teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the second year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting one local animal ready for adoption.

The Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. NJ/NY Gotham FC on April 30 is Boba from Great Plains SPCA.

Adopt Boba

Boba is a sweet, two year old pup with an impressive underbite and great behavior. He walks perfectly by his handler’s side on his leash, he is potty trained and he has already learned to sit and shake! Boba loves to play with toys and show off the jumping skills that earned him the nickname “Pogo.” While he is a gentle pup, other dogs stress him out, so he’s best suited for a home by himself – and maybe some human siblings to play with! Though he has his bursts of energy, he also loves to chill and would be a great work-from-home companion. Boba is a little petite at 45lbs, and has already been declared a favorite among staff and volunteers.

Boba is available for adoption through Great Plains SPCA, a no-kill animal shelter in Merriam, Kansas serving 4,000 community pets annually. Great Plains SPCA works to save, protect and improve the lives of animals, while strengthening the relationship between pets and their human companions by providing humane sheltering, adoptions, community outreach and behavior and training.
